Academic Program

Educational Partner Program

DSA’s Educational Partner Program enables universities and colleges to deploy DSA software,ShipMo3D and ProteusDS, in a lab-type setting. The software can then be used for instructional purposes as part of course material or project work.

DSA software provided under this program cannot be used for commercial purposes. For ongoing use of the software as part of a research program, please contact DSA.

The program is suitable for universities or colleges with programs or courses including:

  • Naval architecture
  • Marine renewable energy
  • Ocean engineering
  • Marine engineering
  • Ocean technology
  • Mechanical/civil engineering

DSA’s software is deployed in a Windows-based computer lab setting at the partner institution. The computers with the software installed must communicate with a Windows-based license server to validate the software license. Upon successful enrollment in the program, the ProteusDS, ShipMo3D, and license server software applications will be delivered via digital download to the partner institutions. The I.T. contact at the institution is responsible for installation of the software and license server. The institution must agree to update the software on a regular basis to ensure that students are training on the latest version. The license server computer must be connected to the internet for license authentication with DSA servers.

To apply to be part of the program, fill out the ProteusDS and ShipMo3D Educational Partner Program – Application (PDF), review the terms and conditions, and return to info@dsa-ltd.ca.
